Who is Chicago kicking camp for?

  • Chicago Kicking Camp is recommended for kickers and punters of ages 12 to 19. Majority of athletes are in 14 to 17 age group.
  • Kicker skill level varies from beginner kickers to more experienced kickers with several years of camp and playing experience.

What will kickers learn?

  • NFL-level kicking skills
  • How to train like a professional kicker
  • How good their kicking ability is compared to their peers
  • Execution of game kicks – directional kickoffs, onside kicks, coffin corner punts, hurried punts, kicking field goals in bad weather, etc.

Is there college exposure for kickers at this event?

  • Yes. Rising sophomore, junior, and senior kickers go through standardized charting session. If their performance is at a level that would generate college interest, we add them to top prospects page and we refer them to colleges that are interested in them.

Additional Kicking Camp Information

  • There are no kicking coaches on middle school, high school, or college football teams. So, what are you going to do when a coach gives you couple footballs and tells you to “go practice”? You have to know…How to kick? How much to kick? How often to kick? How to make adjustments on windy days? Etc.
  • Parents are welcome to stay and observe instruction and evaluation. Usually about half of parents stay and learn kicking.
